Discussion Highlights
Why did you move off GP when you did?
While the official end-of-life for Dynamics GP was announced in September 2024, its sunset had been rumored for quite a while. Like many others, our customers realized that there was no future with Dynamics GP. Here are a few of their reasons:
- It’s not a real cloud solution and it was difficult to make it scale with their business.
- It was difficult to connect with their other necessary applications.
- Many of the models are complicated and convoluted.
- It was “too much” for what they needed, and they weren’t using it to its full potential.
- Missing functionality made it not sustainable with their business needs.
“When we knew we needed to migrate from GP to something that better suited our needs, our first instinct was to what solutions Collins Computing recommended after many years of a successful partnership.” – Mark Lurie, MSIA
Why did you select Acumatica?
With many options out there for ERPs to move to, our customers chose Acumatica for a variety of reasons. Overall, they found Acumatica to be more user-friendly, a more manageable product for their staff to use and be successful with.
- Acumatica is more adaptable and customizable to your business needs.
- It is more cost efficient; you only pay for the resources you use and there are unlimited users.
- Acumatica’s real-time reporting capabilities are a game-changer for those used to GP’s clunky functionality.
“The reporting in Acumatica is much more robust. With GP, you have their report writer, which was hit or miss with getting what you need. Acumatica offers more real-time reporting and easier ability to export information.” – Christina (Ghobi) Ghobrial, Controller, Outdoor Dimensions
